Raphael Bodewig is a research assistant with the Centre for Humanitarian Action (CHA). His research interests include the climate-conflict nexus, crisis prevention, and anticipatory humanitarian action. Before joining CHA, Raphael supported the Global Public Policy Institute’s (GPPi) work on peace and security.
He is currently studying International Affairs at the Hertie School of Governance in Berlin. As a part of his undergraduate studies at University of Freiburg, Raphael spent an exchange semester at the University of Uppsala’s Department of Peace and Conflict Research and worked with human rights defenders and environmental activists during an internship with Corporación PODION in Bogotá, Colombia.
Raphael speaks German, English, Spanish, and some French.
