Lena Wallach is the Communications Officer at the Centre for Humanitarian Action (CHA). She is responsible for communication and public relations as well as CHA’s social media channels.
Prior to joining CHA, Lena worked at Médecins du Monde (MdM). There she accompanied the development of an international network and the knowledge and organisation management. Further stations were Berlin NGOs and think tanks, where Lena organised campaigns on Public Private Partnerships (PPP) and Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR). Before that, Lena completed internships in a climate project at the Gesellschaft für Internationale Zusammenarbeit (GIZ) GmbH in Mexico City and at a human rights NGO in Lomé. She also worked as a language mediator in shared accommodations for refugees in Berlin.
Lena holds a German-French Master’s degree in Risk Management in the Global South from Sciences Po Bordeaux and in Empirical Political and Social Research from University of Stuttgart. As part of her studies she lived in France for three years.
Lena speaks German, French, English and Spanish.
