Members Exchange with Deike Potzel

On 14 October, CHA, together with IRC, is inviting its members to a confidential exchange with Deike Potzel on the situation in Gaza and humanitarian diplomacy in the Middle East, as well as the EU’s role in the context of the humanitarian system and UN reform.

From 2022 to 2025, Deike Potzel served as Director-General for Crisis Prevention, Stabilisation, Peacebuilding and Humanitarian Assistance at the German Federal Foreign Office. In October 2023, she was additionally appointed Special Envoy for Middle East Humanitarian Issues. In summer 2025, Deike Potzel has been appointed EU Ambassador to the United Nations in Geneva.
