Humanitarian Action in Theory and Practice at the University of Tübingen

Together with Martin Quack, CHA researcher Sonja Hövelmann organises for the second time the Humanitarian Action in Theory and Practice seminar at the University of Tübingen in the Peace and Conflict Studies Master’s programme. The seminar teaches the basics of theory and practice in humanitarian action, such as aid in armed conflicts vs. natural disasters, involvement of local actors, humanitarian advocacy or international humanitarian law. To get to know the work in practice better, the students visit different actors in humanitarian action such as NGOs, Red Cross organisations and donors (GFFO).
