Leonie Klapprothis joined the Centre for Humanitarian Action (CHA) in July 2021 as a research assistant. Her research mainly covers projects related to peace-development-humanitarian nexus and shrinking humanitarian space. She’s also interested in health justice and gender-sensitive humanitarian action.
In addition to her work at CHA, Leonie works in an emergency shelter for homeless people run by the Berliner Stadtmission. Prior to this, she was a self-employed instructor for emergency medical workshops.
Leonie studies international emergency and disaster relief in Berlin at the Akkon Hochschule für Humanwisschaften.
Leonie speaks German, English, Spanish and a little Arabic.
