Research trip: Perception of German humanitarian action

Starting on 29 June, CHA Director Ralf Südhoff is on a research trip to investigate how German and European humanitarian action are perceived internationally, as well as what profile and potential for improvement is attributed to them.

He will meet representatives from academia, government, the United Nations and non-governmental organisations in the USA and Canada for guided interviews, including Michael van Rooyen, Director of the Harvard Humanitarian Initiative, Stephen Salewicz, Director General International Humanitarian Assistance of the Canadian government, Kate Higgins, CEO of Cooperation Canada, as well as WFP, UNHCR and country representatives of the USA, the European Union, Germany and Sweden at the UN in New York.
