The umbrella organisation of development and humanitarian aid NGOs in Germany (VENRO e.V.) invites to the following webinar:
Counterterrorism measures and humanitarian assistance – an overview of sanction regimes and legislation
Sanction lists, export bans and risk assessments for remittances – these are the counterterrorism regulations that complicate the provision of humanitarian assistance. Particularly challenging is the large number of guidelines.
In the webinar, participants will receive an overview of national and international counterterrorism legislation and sanction regimes and learn which regulations are relevant for German NGOs.
Input:
- Sonja Hövelmann and Charlotte Faltas, CHA staff members and co-authors of the publication Counterterrorism Measures and Sanction Regimes: Shrinking Space for Humanitarian Aid Organisations
- Dr. Mark Daniel Jäger, Consultant on Sanctions Programmes, German Federal Foreign Office
The webinar is intended for employees of humanitarian NGOs who would like to learn about existing counterterrorism guidelines. Participation in the webinar is free of charge.
Please register online by April 28, 2020.
