Climate change will be the most defining change in the humanitarian world. There is broad scientific consensus that the severity and frequency of climate change-related events are increasing. At the same time overall humanitarian need is already skyrocketing. How are humanitarian actors meeting their responsibilities in this context?

Andrea Steinke, CHA Research Fellow and leading the research project on climate change and humanitarian change, gives an input on the state of debate on climate change & humanitarian change at the Humanitarian Assistance Coordinating Committee (KoA), the central forum between the German Government, humanitarian NGOs and other institutions in Germany.
