Johanna Fipp is managing board assitant and research assitant at the Centre for Humanitarian Action (CHA). Her research interests include climate change and humanitarian change, as well as localisation and challenges in collaboration and equal partnership.
Before joining CHA in March 2022, Johanna worked three years as a student assistant in the communication and administration for Mission East Germany, an international relief and development organisation. Furthermore, Johanna worked one year as a volunteer for Caritas Novosibirsk in Russia.
Johanna is currently doing her Masters in Geographical Development Studies at the Freie Universität Berlin. Previously, she studied Social- and Cultural Anthropology and Philosophy and dealt within the field of medical anthropology with the spatialisation of global inequalities and the conditions of social transformation processes.
Johanna speaks English, German and Russian.
