Mike Yousef is a research fellow at the Centre for Humanitarian Action (CHA). He manages the institute’s research project on digitisation and innovation of German humanitarian aid, which is supported by the German Federal Foreign Office. His further research interests include humanitarian crises and conflicts of the MENA region as well as humanitarian diplomacy.
In addition to his role at CHA, Mike leads a research project at Charité Berlin investigating the global issue of attacks on healthcare in crisis and conflict regions.
Mike holds master’s degrees in International Relations from Cambridge University and Public Policy from Oxford University. He is a licensed physician and received his medical degree from Heidelberg University. He completed his clinical training at the university hospitals of Oxford, Cambridge, Stanford and Charité Berlin.
